Athens Full Day Tour
Overview
This tours starts with a visit to the sacred hill of Acropolis. Passing through its monuments you will end up in front of the Parthenon and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city.
Next we will drive to the temple of Zeus, the Stadium of the first modern Olympic Games, 1896, and drive up to the highest hill of Athens, Lycabettus, for a panoramic view of the city at the “balcony of Athens”.
Following our way back to the city center passing through Kolonaki area we will reach the Parliament to see the changing of the guard in front of the tomb of the unknown soldier.
After that we will drive to the Old City passing by the University, the Academy and the National Library and visit the Ancient Greek Agora. In the Agora you will visit the best preserved temple in the country and in its small museum you will see some of the most profound evidence of the first democracy.
You will be hungry by then so we will make a small stop for you to enjoy an authentic Greek lunch. Last but not least a visit a visit to the famous New Acropolis Museum, to see the masterpeices coming from the Acropolis Hill.
